Majka wins stage 17 at Le Tour de France
Read more →Rafal Majka (Tinkoff-Saxo) has taken a second stage win at the 2014 Tour de France, winning solo on the uphill finish to Pla d'Adet on stage 17, just four days after his victory to Risoul.Majka had been part of a 22-rider lead group that came together after descending the first of the day's four climbs. On the final climb of the day Majka put in a series of attacks, eventually breaking clear to the head of the race with 4.2km to the summit and riding away to a second victory in as many days for Tinkoff-Saxo.

World Champion Rui Costa Wins Tour de Suisse
Read more →Rui Costa, of the Lampre-Merida team, wins the Tour de Suisse. The Stage 9 finale was a 157km race from Martigny to Saas-Fee. Costa broke out in the last 3km to take the win. Dutch cyclist Bauke Mollema finished second, 14 seconds behind Costa and Switzerland’s Mathias Frank took third, trailing Costa by 24 seconds. Costa, the 27-year-old Portuguese cyclist, is the first to win the race 3 times in a row.
